OK, everyone, we have noticed that our blogs and even some pictures are maybe getting a little routine, after all, we do the same thing everyday, in the same room, with the same clothes.... so not always too much exciting to talk about. Sooo, we have noticed that we have been able to survive here pretty well with less conveniences, less food, less stress but what we are starting to hunger for (besides a really good burger) is relationship. Thus, every one's homework for our long weekend is to send us an update on your life. Doesn't have to be long, just tell us a story or two. What are your kids doing, Where have you been to eat, What is going on at work?!?, What is Jon preaching on at church....just that kind of stuff.
My friends at work are going to have to figure out how to comment....looks like Jess figured it out, ask her. I know the Lisas can figure it out. I am dying to know who is making the hot pockets this week!! Yes, we have to watch out for HIPAA and gossip but otherwise fill us in on life in America.
Now, we know there is a bunch of you out there that haven't figured out the comment thing yet but look on the comments area of the blog, click on it and see who has done comments and then ask them. If our parents can figure it out, so can some of you!
We still continue to have cold weather here, maybe a tad warmer today. Nurik still not at peak but doing a little better today. We may go shopping with Masha tomorrow and start to buy him some clothes for his stay with us and the return home. We hope to wait and buy souvenirs after we get to Almaty because we don't want to deal with the Dzez airline again (stay tuned for a blog that wouldn't post several weeks ago, we will repeat that story on one of the days that we don't see Nurik after court)
We hope you are all doing well and special prayers go out to the Hounchell family and Sue Queen and family! Send us your prayer requests too, we have tons of time for prayer! ;) God is teaching us so many concrete pictures of what faith, trust, and relationship means....I will probably have to blog on it one day soon. We are in the middle of our second blizzard of the week and working on our second foot of snow. On the bright side the skiing should be great and we are meeting up with Erin and Brian Saturday in Wausau to take advantage of the winter. Dakota has one more swim meet left and is doing very well for his first year. he took 10 seconds of his freestyle time and 4 seconds off his backstroke time at the meet on Tuesday. Work is picking up as the winter winds down and the housing market picks up. Julie has been very busy at preschool and has all the kids, staff and parents involved in your adventure with Nurik. We miss you very much but appreciate the blog to stay in contact.
