Karen has the boy today.......It appears we will be coming home the week after Easter. We his another small snag this week. Apparently there is only one person in Kaz that can fill out one portion of the new passport and that person has been sick. So Nick's passport will not be done till mid-late next week after which he still needs to be examined by the MD in Almaty and we still need to visit the Embassy in Almaty. So we will stay here in Jez until Wed or Thursday then fly to Almaty. We are in serious need of a change in location....everyone is getting a bit shack happy. I would like to once again thank all of my freinds/coworkers who have covered my responsibilities all of this time. Thank you again for your support.
We had our first restaurant excursion with Masha and her son. There is a kids restaurant with an area for them to play and more importantly and attendant to watch over them while the parents eat....We ended up eating a cheese pizza, which actually wasn't too bad...better than noodles or hot dogs. Nick did well and ate both his pancakes and mamma's pizza. This bodes well since Karen and I both like to eat pizza...thought anyone who knows Karen knows she is a bit more pizza crazy than I am.
We had another good sleeping night with Nick once again telling everyone where they had to lay. He also has become a bit obsessed with the mop and spent several hours trying to clean all of the floors/carpets in the apartment.
We will know more about our departure next week. Have a great weekend everyone and Karen will try to blog tomorrow. Pat

1 person to fill out part of the paperwork?!?!?! At least the end is in sight now. Like you said, a little change of scenery will help. Let the countdown begin....almost home. I am glad the nights are getting better.
